Excitement stirs as I approach my favorite Indian food restaurant.
This restaurant serves cuisine from the northern region of India, which can be flavored mild to very spicy.
I stand here looking at the door, knowing what awaits me on the other side as I choose to leave the illusion: The material world of Maya. This large wooden door; vermilion in color, is very worn from the many years of use and existence. I touch the decorative brass door knob and turn the handle, slowly opening the door to one of my favorite experiences.
As the door opens, my senses are stimulated by sight, smell, sound and feel.
This book is about the delightful encounter of the senses of India in one small restaurant.
