About the Book

You Can Start Again offers readers a life-tested, nine-step program for awakening one’s awareness of the possibilities for cultivating a renewed life and for enlivening one’s spirituality. Author Tineasha Bowen presents a combination of recollections of events in her journey and descriptions of the steps she recommends to others who desire to awaken their spiritual selves. The program in You Can Start Again suggests that one seek a fresh start over a prolonged period. After one completes a seven-day-long focus on mindfulness meditation, then one enters a nine-week time of focusing on the goal of a spiritual life, in which the letters of spiritual stand for silence, power, initiative, revelation, impermanence, truth, understanding, awareness and love. Support for each week’s spiritual journey takes the form of an introductory reflection, a preliminary meditation, a questionnaire, a daily intervention, a morning affirmation, a nightly intervention and some final questions. Readers who desire to find ways to improve their lives will find great worth in the gentle guidance You Can Start Again presents.
