"Billy," said the kind Judge. "I have been following your antics. You are always picking on other people, jealous of their talents, and now you've reached for the Big Stars, the people whose talents everyone admires. You think if you steal the talents from the Stars, you'll be the greatest Star on earth." "Yeah", Billy replied. "Well, Billy, said the judge. "I know you inside and out, and I know that you are really a very good person, but you have bee mistaken in thinking that you can take from or imitate anyone else's talents. Don't you know, Billy, that when you do that, you keep yourself from discovering your own talents?"
We live in a culture which is essentially a star system, one in which certain individuals are admired and in which others are expected to live up to those ideals. This book will help parents in their efforts to highlight and enhance their child’s special individual gifts.
