I know it sounds cheesy, like I can’t live without Phil, or I did not have a life before him, but for me, it is my soul understanding the life lesson, and where it started. And that chapter will end when we are no longer physically together.
We met in university, in February of 1984. I was independent, and I like to think I still am….I say that with a big grin. But I like to do things on my own, I love my quiet time, I like my space and I truly enjoy my own company.
But I also really enjoy spending time with Phil. I like having him around, I like being around him and with him. I feel “at home” with him.
You often hear people say they are looking for their soul mate….what is a soul mate? Is it fireworks? Is it madly in love? I suppose, in the beginning it was like that for me, for us…and maybe for some that is the definition of soul mate. But could it be that a soul mate is a teacher, one who shows up in your life, to teach you to love yourself….the greatest gift to ourselves, to our soul is to love ourselves with no conditions.

About the Book

About the Author
Simone Babineau resides on the east coast of Canada, in the cozy province of New Brunswick. Her favorite thing to do is to spend time with her husband and two beautiful sons, when they are all at home. She has always been an avid reader, and has fulfilled one of her wishes by publishing this book.
