My twin sister Siena always gets the praise from the teacher. I am always in the back and I never get picked for the good roles. I’m happy for Siena, she is a very good dancer, and I don’t want to get jealous because she is my twin sister, but I wish I would get noticed sometimes.
“We have been taking ballet since we were 3 years old. We are 11 now.
Maybe I wasn’t meant to be a ballerina.” Scarlett says to Siena.
“Don’t say that Scarlett, you are a great dancer, you just need more training.” Sienna explains to Scarlett. “I don’t want you to give up.”

About the Book
Siena and Scarlett are twin sisters. They both share the love of dance and together began ballet at three years old. Siena is the star student of the school, and although Scarlett is happy for her sister, she starts to doubt if ballet is in her future. A surprise visit from a hip-hop choreographer changes everything and introduces Siena and Scarlett to a new way of dancing. During the rehearsal of Siena’s big debut in “Le Petit Fleur,” she falls during her jump and hurts her leg the day before the recital. With only Scarlett knowing the dance, she is put on the spot to step in for her sister’s part … can she pull it off?
About the Author
At age nine, Sofia and her mother began their first book together. The desire came from Sofia’s love of writing and dancing. Sofia began taking ballet each Saturday at three years old; little did they know it would become their life. Sofia’s dream is to be a professional dancer and dance around the world until she is one hundred.
