A Pocket Full of Sunshine

We sometimes stumble...

In order for you to understand the light and the truth that you will find in the following pages you need to know a little about some of the things that I have experienced.

No moss has ever grown on my heel. I like to keep busy and I love to "create"! The entire process of creation brings me joy. The dreaming that starts it all, the rush of adrenaline when I become inspired, the feverish visioning as I build a concept from the ground up. Then once it manifests into materials... moving, arrangements, decorating, advertising, polishing and finally the presentation!

I have owned and operated a healing center and a metaphysical shop and I even built and managed my own semi-professional roller derby team. I won't claim to have done any of these things single handed, but in each case I was the visionary and so I identified myself with each project. (Which if we are learning from our mistakes would be the first error on my part.)

With each of these major undertakings I experienced both wins and losses. With each endeavor I was reaching for the stars, and each time I extended myself I also exposed myself to failure.

As I see it, failure is simply a point of view. Why not look on those moments simply as experience and carry on? Still... some lessons in life are easily reconciled while others can shake our foundation, cut us to the core and leave us bleeding by the side of the road.

One thing that you must accept when you set about to consciously create in this world, is that everything that rises will fall. And in some cases, as the creator, there will even be times when we must destroy our own work in order to take the next step forward.

Perhaps, there was a Master Plan at work in the madness that destroyed my life, or perhaps it was just the hand of fate. I stepped from the ending of my healing center into the metaphysical store with grace, after all it was what I had decided that I wanted. I did miss the peaceful old Victorian and the comfort that we created there, but it had given way to the bustle of street front activity, walk in traffic and oh so many brightly glittering experiences!
