Turn on the 6 o’clock news World is seemingly on fire Chaos of complexity Paradigms of pain Screeching out as war Of all sorts Constipation of complaints Choir of ego refrains Imposing illusion In the suburbs of our mind Degradation of the Garden of Paradise Cut throat comments that strangle the soul Beautiful round world Constrained with imaginary straight lines Rigid rules and regulation creating jagged borders of separation Severing the hearts of humanity Dissecting the SOURCE of our divinity Swords of ignorance Defiling our innocence Brother fighting against brother Sister assaulting sister Children orphaned of their imagination Suicidal annihilation Ghost machines sauntering in the world Spewing psychic pollution Stunting evolution Deceiving into believing That this darkness called violence Self imposed exile from LOVE That this perversion of power Can destroy the ONE
Despite the high rise of excuses Story built upon story Babel tower of delusion Despite the games of denigration False indoctrination Media moguls manipulation Despite the clashes of cultural conditioning Tug of wars of indifference Forked tongues of deliverance Despite seeming fragmentation Inflammatory accusations Millennium of lies perpetuated
I am not deterred by this parade of foolishness Confused confessions of duality Us vs other diatribes Instead, I turn ON to TRUTH Dancing with the Indwelling PRESENCE Playing in fields of INFINITE POSSIBILITIES I declare the ONENESS of BEING Overriding raucous clamoring of conditioning I circle the sacred mountain of GREATNESS With pristine awareness Seeing WHOLENESS in creation I stand witness to the BEAUTY of the DIVINE In every delicious incarnation Ignoring incantations of separation I open my heart to the FIRE of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE Freely Giving and Receiving Attending to the ONE in the many Wiping clear the muddied mind Stained by institutional deception Shamelessly blamed on Adam and Eve
I stand here in this TRUTH and only TRUTH To the secrets revealed to me By the whispers of the ONE Indeed you and I Are seeds of a supernova Whose exquisite LIGHT cannot be Contained or Restrained You and I Are the dance of the BELOVED Tango of light and shadow Bejeweled in splendor and wonder You and I Are warriors of LOVE Unleashed fire of CREATION Transmuting poison into medicine You and I Are the wisdomkeepers Spiritual peacemakers Protectors of innocence Declarers of our MAGNIFICENCE You and I Are woven from AGAPE Cloth of many colors UNDERSTANDING wrapped in Buddhas and lovers You and I Are the kingdom of Christ consciousness Wildmind of realization Pristine CLARITY of illumination You and I Are gorgeous blooms In the garden of Paradise Offered to the world in a bouquet of blessings
You and I Are indeed ONE Dance of GOD upon GOD LOVE upon LOVE LIGHT upon LIGHT
It is in this TRUTH I can no longer attend your small stories I attend only to your glorious nature It is in this TRUTH I can no longer attend your false pretenses I attend only to your LOVE and MAGNIFICENCE It is in this TRUTH I can no longer attend your strangulation of LIGHT I attend only to your pristine AWARENESS It is in this TRUTH I can no longer attend your resistance I attend only to your STRENGTH & COURAGE It is in this TRUTH I can no longer attend your illusion I attend only to your BEAUTY & JOY
It is in this TRUTH The FIRE of AWAKENING Ignites a supernova of ABSOLUTE LOVE Creating a new paradigm
It is in this TRUTH In which PEACE is born within God seeds nourished into being Enveloping the world in LIGHT
It is in this TRUTH I DANCE with you The POWER of the ONE Sacred Celebration 64 Daily Revelations of this Season
It is in this TRUTH I live, move, breathe and have my being Immersed in the PRESENCE Savoring each ESSENCE
It is in this TRUTH I LOVE.

About the Book
Provocative, personal, and illuminating the universal, Awakening Fire is the anticipated collection of the poetry and writings by Veronica Valles. She leads you into the labyrinth of your own humanity—straight to the center of your being. Veronica’s describes her ways of loving God and finding the good. As a photographer, she has a keen eye for patterns, the dance of light and shadows, and the fire of life.
About the Author
Veronica Valles is a writer, poet, photographer, filmmaker, licensed spiritual coach and minister for Centers for Spiritual Living. She also claims the title of “Favorite Aunt,” which she considers her greatest accomplishment in life.
With a calling to carry a notepad around like John Boy from the television show of her childhood, The Waltons, Veronica’s dream of being a word weaver began with her voracious appetite for reading. She spent her summers at the library, learning about the world from so many authors’ and narrators’ perspectives. She secretly desired to be an artist like those authors, and Veronica’s introverted, shy side eventually gave way to an extroverted, passionate, poetic voice.
After a nine-and-a-half-year experience with a long-term illness during her thirties, her writing turned to her spiritual transformation through the teachings of Science of Mind. What was once kept within the confines of journals and private writings has now been unleashed.
She’s a simple woman who cannot contain her joy of being; her heart is centered in love. The next chapter of her life is unfolding as she takes on motivational speaking, workshop facilitating, teaching, writing, and more responsibility as a minister for Centers for Spiritual Living. A Texas native, you’ll find Veronica in the fields of White Rock Lake. She’ll be in her mother’s garden chasing butterflies and fireflies with her pint-sized gurus (nieces and nephews), laughing or chatting with her friends, or simply centered in her campsite along the path.
