There once was a lion And Jimmy was his name He was not the king of Zion In fact, his friends would call him lame
You may wonder why And I will try to explain Jimmy was quite shy Forget the rumours –no truth do they contain
When enemies attacked He would not make a sound It’s because he lacked That which makes a lion proud
His friends, Who were not his friends at all Were tense, Angry and did not feel Jimmy’s soul
They shouted: Get out of our jungle! And ‘cause he was quite humble He left broken-hearted without a word or a mumble

About the Author
Alex Koren is a psychotherapist and art therapist. Born in Chile under a military dictatorship, Koren grew up in exile in Europe. Declared dead twice as a five year old, she remembers seeing her adult self standing by the hospital door, reassuring her that things would get better. They did. So much better.
