What is reality? Is our physical experience reality, or is our experience in the dream world reality? Or is it both?
There was a story told by an ancient Chinese sage, which was about a man who dreamt about a butterfly. When he woke up, he asked himself: ‘Was I, a man, dreaming about a butterfly? Or am I now a butterfly dreaming about a man?’
Around 1990, I had a number of dreams about children. This series of dreams went on for months. There were different versions of me saving them from shipwrecks or helping them out of various dangerous scenarios, etc. Later on, I actually started an after-school activity for 50 children in Missionaries of Charity, Mother Teresa’s home for poor children and street people in Macau.
My first dream of Mother Teresa was in 1991 (please refer to dream no.13). Some months after this dream, I was privileged to meet her in person when she came to Macau.
As I continued to record my dreams and kept a daily diary of my activities, I found that there were a lot of parallel realities. As the structure and quality of matters are different in other dimensions, so Time and Space cannot be synchronised as we know it. Also, as the sense of past, present and future is not the same in the Dream World, which is not linear, it is difficult to relate or link the dream and the physical realities within a time frame.
If we take away the distance and time factor of the physical world, then our dream and physical reality runs parallel. Having recorded hundreds of dreams over many years I have found that most of my dreams did come true.
Often I ask myself, is Patricia dreaming about Soul/Spirit or is Soul/Spirit dreaming about Patricia? Which is the true reality, the dream journey or the physical journey?
Here is my story.
