Debra R. Banks is an author and speaker with a natural drive to live life to its fullest and to encourage those close to her to do the same. For many years she coached friends and family on her approaches to health and wellness. In 2013 she took that interest to the next level and graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she received certification as a health coach.
Debra wrote this book as a love letter to two dear friends that expressed frustration with the challenges of making life changes to improve their health and well-being. One was a friend that she had not seen in person for more than ten years. When they reconnected, Debra had much to share about her current healthy lifestyle. She quickly learned that lifestyle changes were not built in a day. Her solution was to write this book and to create the three-step system as a way to encourage both of her friends to take a measured approach to incorporating lifestyle changes. Her definite purpose is to offer this system to others as well.
Debra is a two-time graduate of the University of Virginia with both a bachelor’s in finance and a master’s in business administration. Debra is also an NLP practitioner and yoga instructor. Her wellness routine includes playing with her grandson, Sammy. And she proudly claims each of her nearly sixty years of being.
