"For the dawn beckons to dare thee yet again, as I arise to once again challenge the infinite questions put before thee by the undaunted minds of far greater men…I find myself in the springtime of my life. Is it the unbridled task of humans to create their own personal goals or is it fate that shall deliver them, should they choose to follow their spiritual souls? Is it our life’s ambition to define and then attempt to comprehend the purpose of our individual mortal existences and then have to repeat those very painful lessons over and over again? Perhaps, I am over thinking all of this. Why dare to question ever so much? After all, I hold myself in contempt. Yes, my behavior is outrageous! I am condemnable by my own admission, I am guilty! For in my faith I no longer trust. There shall be no prosperity from that which I invest, for within the deepest of my defiant emotions, the battle ensues and all my courage shall be put to the test. As for this bewildered warrior and his insurmountable quest, whose insidious existence now lies shattered as the menacing vultures pick at what little there is left.

About the Author
Frank Simonelli, born in Brooklyn, New York in 1959, entered this world meeting with illness that threatened to challenge fate’s choice. He was aware of his connection to spirit very early on. Frank heard the words that people didn’t say. Absorbing as much information about this human life as he could, art, music and literature were his life’s passions, an inspiration, perhaps, an escape. Like so many, life’s disappointments taught valuable lessons, some of which are expressed in this poetry collection. Frank resides in Central New Jersey with his wife and three daughters.
