Again, Let Go
Long have I incurred the wrath of false gods
barring the way to transcendence.
Notions echoed from the basement of times past.
Long have I carried the conditioning,
the familial burdens of hopes unfulfilled
in the guise of protection.
Time, I say, to let go of what is not mine.
strip the overcoat's varnish
protecting the treasure,
shielding the skin.
It is worn through,
old and fatigued with age.
Let go.
Let us meet in the light of love.
