Echoes of Jessica

I am writing this book for many reasons. I never had someone holding my hand to guide me through the heartache of living with chronic illness and pain. If nothing else, I want to be a guardian angel that comes alive by these words. I want my proverbial wings to spread with every turn of the page and touch as many hearts as possible. You, my reader who has somehow been poisoned by the effects of chronic pain, you are not meant to walk this path alone. You need not travel in darkness because I am here to give you light with my words. My story is your story is her story is our story. The connection doesn’t stop by differences in our disease. The energy is still one and we are all related by this pain that follows us into dark corners. This book is the light I couldn’t see on my own until it was behind me, until I had lived years with this silent but unruly disease. Wherever you are in your journey, we are now one and you will never be alone again. As true as my words escape my pen, so is the truth of your journey. Never again be belittled by the words of those who place labels on pain they can’t see. Know you are not crazy. Allow me to leave breadcrumbs where there were none for me. That would fulfill my greatest desire and purest intent.
