“Teach Me To See You, Oh, Lord”

In a world that appears to be so filled with confusion and upheaval who can we trust? Is there really a sovereign power of God that hears and sees us? And more importantly, why hasn't this power made a difference in this chaotic world? These are vital questions that need to be answered if we are going to resolve the turmoil. We may cling to the scripture that states, "Seek first the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 6:33) If this is true where is the kingdom and why can't we readily see it? I have asked these questions many times. As I continued to pray about this it hit me like a divine lighning bolt. The answer is in the Lord's Prayer. These words although familiar leaped forward with new meaning. The fruit of my inner reflections of The Lord's Prayer are in the following chapters. By exploring the deeper values in each verse, the reader can embrace this prayer as a strategy to continue in everyday life feeling grounded and safe. May you find truth and peace through these chapters. May you be moved by the only prayer given to us by Jesus. Heaven on earth is possible, and it is God's calling in us to make it happen.
