About the Author

Paula Darby is a devoted mother of two young adults – a 23- year- old son who graduated with Honours as an Analytical Scientists and a 20- year- old daughter who completed college with distinction and is now preparing for university. Alongside her role as a mother, Paula has spent over twenty years as a teacher, specializing in supporting students with Special Education Needs . Her experience gave her a strong foundation in working with children with behavioral challenges and learning difficulties. Paula’s own children once faced similar struggles. Her son battled deep emotional distress to the point of suicidal attempts, and her daughter displayed behaviours that led neighbours to discourage their children from interacting with her. These challenges were rooted in a painful and abusive marriage, during which Paula herself reached points of severe emotional crisis. Today Paula’s story is one of restoration and triumph. She has been happily married to her second husband for over seven years, and both her life and her children’s lives have been transformed . In this book, she shares the key factors that led to their healing, along with the tools and strategies she used to endure and overcome difficult seasons as mother.
