About the Book
Wake Up. Tune In. Live Now. Have you been sleepwalking through your own life? Drifting through routines, reacting to the world on autopilot, or echoing beliefs that never truly felt like yours? Dehypnotize Yourself and Come to Your Senses is a bold, insightful invitation to snap out of the trance. Drawing from decades of therapeutic practice, neuroscience, and timeless wisdom, this book reveals how much of our behavior is the result of unconscious conditioning— patterns we’ve absorbed from culture, family, trauma, and fear. Through practical tools, compelling metaphors, and eye-opening exercises, you’ll learn how to gently interrupt those old scripts, reconnect with your five senses, and reclaim your attention. This isn’t about fixing yourself—it’s about waking up to who you already are beneath the noise. Whether you’re feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or just plain numb, this book is your nudge back to presence. Learn to breathe again. Feel again. Choose again. It’s time to stop surviving and start sensing.
About the Author
Terra Martin is the founder of The Martin Method Inc. and has been in private hypnotherapy practice since 1984. With more than four decades of experience, she integrates Hypnotherapy, EMDR, CBT, and Fascial Stretch into a compassionate and adaptable approach that supports healing from grief, addiction, trauma, and emotional stagnation. Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that change is as deep as the ocean and as wide as the sky—an ever-evolving universe within the self. Terra’s method blends practical therapeutic tools with spiritual insight, grounded in the idea that our lives are guided by metaphors. When these internal narratives are understood and updated, transformation becomes as natural as breathing. Her recent studies in quantum biology have expanded her understanding of how emotions influence the body at the cellular level. Having worked internationally, she brings a global perspective and a steady, empathetic presence to her clients. In addition to her clinical work, Terra is a published poet specializing in haiku and tanka, and enjoys playing the tenor saxophone, gardening, and photography. Now celebrating her 70th year, she remains passionately engaged in her healing work.
