About the Book

Surviving COVID 19 Lockdown of 2020, each of us had our own coping mechanisms. It seems that now, in 2024, we are experiencing collective amnesia. The title of this book: Watching While Waiting: Surviving the Pandemic through Creativity and Refl ective Practice issues an invitation to you, the reader, to take a moment, breathe deeply and refl ect back upon our collective experience in order to discover and appreciate the lessons we learned.

About the Author

Bonnie Lemelle Abadie, D. Min., Associate Professor of Pastoral Studies at the Oblate School of Theology, is a native of San Antonio, Texas. Throughout her life in ministry (40+years) in the Roman Catholic Church, she has served as a teacher, facilitator, retreat director, catechist, liturgist, youth and young adult minister, campus minister, spiritual director, formation associate, conference speaker, singer and musician. She is an award-winning poet and fl edgling artist.
