About the Author
Marcia is a former corporate executive and military spouse who survived seven household moves. For more than forty years, she juggled a marketing and sales career with her passions and active family life. This included becoming an accomplished mixed media artist and an avid collector of things ranging from postage stamps to rabbit figurines. She also volunteered with local service organizations and served as a family archivist for orphaned memorability. Through all of this she gained a lot of stuff. Even as a child, Marcia was a bit of a packrat. This should come as no surprise since her parents grew up during the Great Depression and were her role models. They, like many of that generation, saved anything that could be of future use, held fond memories, or that struck their fancy ranging from collections of angel figurines to antique tools. Getting rid of stuff was not a priority for her—not even before each move—until it was time to downsize for retirement. She is honored to share her lessons learned to help you succeed in your downsizing and decluttering journey.
