About the Book

Having been out of any religious practice for many years, Muriel Soden sought out teachings that went to the source within. Her search eventually led to Tibetan Buddhist practice, which resonated deeply with her understanding. Ever since, she has been practising in this tradition for the past twenty-seven years. Presented here is a distinctive digest of non-dual Buddhist teachings accessible in easy-to-read chapters. The book may be read cover to cover or dipped into as a sort of spiritual smorgasbord. Each concept can be grasped as a fractal of the entire text and each paragraph as a reflection of the whole. Readers will find everything from important philosophical frameworks to heartfelt insight and guidance for day-to-day living. The overall thesis of the book is that of the unity of totality: everything in existence is part of the interdependent whole. This understanding of reality generates certainty, trust, and humor. It gives rise to relief, ease, and joy in living. Further, it illuminates right choices and ethical conduct. This is a distillation of non-dual teachings as understood by a long-term female practitioner—one woman’s understanding of the singularity that is totality.
