I tried many ways to become free of pain, because I have of the beliefs I carried. I have watched people taking classes and courses, but the simple ideas are the ones that stuck. The experiences I write about are simple, but also incredible. Often, I asked God:
“Why do I need this?”
The best answer is, I needed to wake up to the present moment. Staying in the moment, every moment. That happens to be the best remedy for uncertainty within the mind, for it creates awareness.
Old, negative patterns of behavior are destructive to people. Without the constant running of the mind, I began to settle down, turning inward. With this insight, I was able to wake up to the hidden lesson that brought clarity in my inner life.
The insights I have gained have supported me. I see the powerful changes in myself and people who apply self-awareness, while stepping away from old thinking and behavior.
I have pondered many times whether spirituality can be taught or studied. Religion can be taught and studied. That’s easy. But how does one explain the phenomenon of experiencing God? Realizing the awakening of the Soul and humbly accepting the presence of God.
How can one explain, while during meditation, life-force in its purest form fills the void within, as the universe appears in its splendor? A great calmness pervades here, and limitations do not exist. Observing God’s creation, identifying that we are a part of it. Receiving his blessings through clarity of thought and purity of mind. Witnessing the immense concentration of energy, yet understanding its benign gentleness. The universe is the classroom where transformation is palpable. We are living through the expression of God, as everything is in perfection.
God, as I have experienced him/her and perceive him to be the energy that penetrates and permeates. Seeping in and flowing out of everything and everyone. Knowing that I am a seed of the cosmos, part of the whole. I am an individual; I am the Soul. Humanity is my mirror. The reflections which garner my attention are my lessons. When lessons are not learned, they become my adversary, while ego appoints itself as the gatekeeper of my pain. Is ego the master or the servant?
We must consider how consciousness, mindfulness, observations, and beliefs we carry, play a role in spirituality. What do any of these words mean, when associated with spirituality?
What is higher awareness? And how does ego play a role, when it comes to consciousness? What are feelings telling us? What part has the heart in all of this?
My insight into the heart and spirit is what I want to share with you. Wisdom learned or still to come?
I also write about a considerable force, which I experienced a long time ago. It is called Kundalini. In the Sikh tradition, it’s called: “The Opening of the Tenth Gate,” or in Punjabi “Dasam Dwar.” The energy, when awakened brings heightened awareness within the body, increases observation and information to and from our senses. It puts us in touch with our higher wisdom, which I call “Absolute Knowledge.” The body is the vehicle, that hijacks us into an intense state of ecstasy.
At the same time, the body has lost control, but the expanding mind is propelled into an ethereal awareness. It is here in the realm of highest wisdom, where we collect knowledge through the senses. Perceptions become heightened, they convert into extraordinary sensory perceptions. We have been catapulted into a world beyond explanation.
The opening of the Tenth Gate is the most influential event of a lifetime. The body abides by different laws. We observe, as heightened awareness overtakes us. We are allowed to comprehend the vastness of the universe and its creation. There, we are part of everything and everyone. “Absolute Knowledge” is evident. The essence of love is penetrating all.
My wake-up call in the moment was recognizing the endless possibilities of every living human being. Within the body is present a vital force, without it, there is no breath, no life; it’s the energy of the Soul. We must pay attention to the body, physical as well as spiritual. Body and spirit are undeniably connected and what the mind thinks affects the body, what the body feels touches the mind. Both affect the higher consciousness of everything.
With awakening, comes the deepest possible known form of bliss, expansion of the heart, a pass to consciousness and super-consciousness. It brings gifts that are profound: Clarity of mind, focus, and mostly, it opens the path of seeing attachments as the trappings of earthly living. Discipline is the price of admission.
Awakening Kundalini or Opening the Tenth Gate is a process that can occur unexpectedly, mostly, it opens by the grace of God. But often it’s a practice and the result of many years of devotion, meditation, breath control, (known as Pranayama) and Yoga. Calmness within body and mind are the essentials. By cultivating these practices, all of us are becoming instrumental in shaping the future of humanity. The awakening to consciousness one person at a time.
I have asked the question if spirituality can be taught or learned. I’ve had some great teachers, who could only guide me so far. I recognized that my hunger to know God is and always has been deep within me. Ever since I can remember as a young child, I wanted to know God intimately in his wisdom and glory.
In the pages that follow, I am working with the intention of sharing my experiences to the fullest means possible. Mindfulness is the beginning step. Letting meditation and a focused mind being the guides of going into bliss and eventually losing oneself in non-duality, without ego in control.
Seeking God is a journey, yet God never left. We arrive when we accept God as the energy which presents itself as Godlyness in every human Being.
As humans we create and destroy. We love and hate. Life is the lesson. We do it again and again until we learn to slow down, become aware, accept, and surrender. We become the observer of the Self and watch how the mind wants to control. If we have not learned, we fall into the trap of attachment again. It’s the cycle, and it begins with us and ends with our collected wisdom.
When we learn to become mindful, that becomes the foundation of wisdom.
In these pages you may find wisdom repeated, seen from another point of view. Allow the insights to penetrate your soul, the depth of the message is vast and will pass through your subconscious mind in different ways. Wisdom seen from different angles becomes the key to unlocking the hidden Self. We allow life to unfold itself, witnessing the Self from a higher perspective.
Lack within the heart must be eradicated before real change in mind and soul comes to fruition. That’s what these pages are promising, a change of view with a wide perspective. The steps are many, it is very much like climbing stairs. Once on top, if we forgot something downstairs, we’ve must walk down again. This is the progress, going back and forth with the stages which we will experience. Repetition, observation and patience are required, but mostly it’s a process of unfolding. Enjoy the journey.
The Five Vices
When we live authentically, the five vices are the tools that teach. They are: Lust, Greed, Attachments, Ego and Anger. To learn about our shortcomings, we devote a lifetime of study to understand why humans employ these vices.
The five vices are discovered daily through our actions. That is part of our life-purpose. Recognizing the vices, seeing how they fool us and why we believe in their solace. If we hang on to the belief that they are good for us, they bring pain. Yet, they are our lessons.
The explanations given are my firsthand experiences and not in any specific order. Yet, in the deeper wisdom of my experiences, the vices are all part of the lessons, which we will discover throughout these writings. At any point of my experiences one vice or another was involved.
