About the Book

I called myself Abuelita (Nanny) because my children rescued these pets from different unsuitable environments. The book is about the event/story of each pet. Also, it is meant to encourage people and children to give a little one a chance to have a home and to be loved. Children can learn many lessons with animals: being caring, loving unconditionally, being a faithful companion, giving true friendship, experiencing new places, and greeting and sharing.

About the Author

I was born in Montevideo Uruguay South America .I am the second oldest child of four. Three generations lived in my fathers house. We all shared everything without living in each others pockets. Got married at 18years and Immigrated to Australia the following year. I am a mother of 4 young adults and 3 grandchildren. When I went to school I didn’t like the day when we went on excursions as later on I have to write about it and I have difficulty making sentences. However, my mother encouraged me to read, write and think step by step how the event happened. This is why I am dedicating this book to her.
