Spiritual Social Activism

Spiritual social activism is both an inner and outer process; it is about spirituality and activism. It is not about religion, it is not about any form of dogma. It is activism that comes from the heart, not just the head. It is activism that is compassionate, positive, kind and transformative. Being a spiritual social activist means taking our responsibility in creating change, with a spirit of positivity, compassion, love and a balance of interdependence and self-determination. Nothing can be more inspiring and more rewarding than being the change we want to see in the world, within and without. We need to fuse spiritual knowledge with radical action. With our passion for God/universe/Life comes passion for justice and truth, which creates divine love. Lasting joy is devoting your life for others; for the higher good. Act in the world with sacred knowledge and your actions are blessed. Society of today is now more than ever before effected by stress, discrimination, injustice, environmental challenges, religious conflicts and economic crisis. Neither world organizations nor great leaders seems to be able to create a profound difference in a long-term perspective. More than anything we need our own individual wisdom; we need to dare to be social activists and think freely in order to be able to create and manifest our spiritual solutions. The challenge is that human beings for several thousands of years has been taught not to rely on our own inner wisdom. Instead we have learned to turn to different kind of experts; priests, doctors and scientists. We cannot embrace our quantum powers, and truly create our new world with our thoughts that become our reality, until we develop and trust our inner leadership. We need to connect our divine spirituality with social and political change. We need to create our external world accordingly to our inner world, that is characterized by truth, joy and love. We need to become spiritual change-makers and evelutionaries, despite fear, disbelief or resistance from our loved ones, our community or society. We need to find our own spiritual tribe and courageously move toward a new tomorrow. With the holistic model and the spiritual principles for each part, you and your tribe can find tools on how to evolve your spiritual social activism. I have also in this book suggested different physical actions. The holistic model can also be combined with practices and methods of freedom. By using these practices and methods, your tribe will find strength and support in finding its true mission in the world. The world are full of different techniques to conquer. But what we need is Practices of freedom. Practices of freedom reassures us as human beings that we are loved and respected; feelings that are important in our daily life. Practices of freedom focuses what we want to see as reality in our world, and not what we don’t want to see. The practices is created from the fact that we all take responsibility for ourselves, and for our effect on our environment. It requires that we understand ourselves, and our true feelings. The practices of freedom are focused on making ourselves and others seen as the unique individuals we are. Our time on earth will then be an exciting journey in creating our own valuable identity and supporting others in creating theirs. It is also a question about us being respected for the people we are and for how we think. On all societal levels and in all social groups there will with the practices of freedom be a natural openness that welcomes all people. We will constantly strive to respect ourselves and others, for being the fantastic creatures we really are.
