diminished faded just a shade of my former self if my self ever really was more than a wisp of dark smoke trailing hanging lingering there above the rubble and ash the debris of my life scattered hopes tattered dreams torn from my soul i gave and gave my self away till there was no more me only dust left behind the murky gloom of despair are eyes bright with fear and all my tears cried for the years that were lost

karolyn carlson has been writing poetry most of her life. She sees the world through words and has a talent for capturing the essence of our collective human experience. While each piece has been borne from her own unique life experience, she hopes to touch the reader and gently remind them of our shared feelings, and the power we invoke during the act of sharing such intimacies with each other.
