Return: The Way of Perfect Love is a new version of an unpublished book written years ago by a father to his children with the hope of helping them build a combined personal, interpersonal, and spiritual life—a righteous life—by answering some of life’s most important questions: Who is God? Why are there so many religions? Who is right? Can you be religiously faithful yet not righteous? What is the difference between righteousness and morality? What is a person’s soul, and how does it interact with the body? How should we pray? What is spirituality? What is perfect love? Why is repentance important? What does it truly mean to be born again or born from above? What is our purpose for being alive? What is free will? Can people be perfect? What is humility? This modified edition is written for everyone. It is a positive book about the love that the Almighty God has for all of us without preference of sex, race, religion, or any demographic, and how important it is for us to have that same love. Unlike other more philosophical, theoretical, or transcendentally written books, this is also a practical guide for spiritual growth and interpersonal improvement. It also provides a foundation for interreligious and nonreligious co-learning and cooperation.

About the Author

Brooklyn born and Long Island grown, Walter Gormley was raised in a deeply spiritual household and greatly influenced by his tough, yet funny and purpose-focused mother and by the short life of his younger brother. For nearly half a century, Walter has devoted his life to seeking, learning, and living Truth. His research and participation has taken him through several religious denominations. While none had everything, each had something. Through studying, practicing, and reaching beyond the “miresome” comfort of most religions, he has been able to draw out the most important themes and share them with his five children. He continues to do so near Tampa, Florida.
