About the Book

Absolutes is mostly written by Dia the Cat, who was not fret-free and fuzzy; she was a spiritual anarchist who refused to be modified. Fa was her serious but clumsy student who grew to be a master. Dia and her soul mate, Fa, followed the tradition of interspecies illumination with slapstick wisdom, unrelenting truth, and wild creativity. At a time when I was running in circles, chasing my own tail, Dia and Fa spoke up, engaging me in conversations that distracted me from myself just long enough for me to grasp some insights. Absolutes are those conversations.

About the Author

Robyn Lee, Australian artist has had a very colorful life which has taken her from Ballerina to broadway, and on to director, artist, author and teacher. Robyn is co-founder of Third Eye Media and continues to teach In The Moment: The Art of Being, and Color Spa: Color Yourself In internationally. Robyn lives by the beach at Far Rockaway NY and is so grateful to have had two beautiful kitties to teach her how to listen for Absolutes.

Not quite sure how to justify the tears I shed when reading this book, but I guess it is just this: Some of us learn a great deal from the animals with whom we live our lives. Robyn Lee, in The Dia Book, has shared the lessons she gained from the presence of Dia the cat, in a way that is is both profound (to humans) and yet completely obvious (to the observant cat…). The images she has drawn expand the impact of the message so there is just no escaping the importance of this cat in her life, and, by extension, the importance of a voice of reason or humor many of us experience from an observant creature in our lives. Read this book. I loved it and I think anyone who cares about animals will too.

What a charming book! The sophisticated drawings catch the personalities of two cats who engage in conversation with the author and change over time. Their dialog is pithy and wise. This book can be read and reread with pleasure because fresh insights emerge each time. Who knew how much cats have to teach us about life and love?

I so loved reading this book. It is not only filled with humor and insight, but it makes you go on your own journey through many times in your life in which you may have had many questions about your own direction, or which direction to take. With the guidance of the cats and their interaction with the author it is a magical journey. It is also a journey of healing and wisdom.
