About the Book

This book started out as a way for me to get self-help. Call it therapeutic if you will. The events expressed throughout the book are based on a true story. As I wrote down notes and started a running story line, I started to realize I can’t be the only parent out there that has experienced the types of events that I have gone through along the way. Having said that, I strongly believe that if it has helped me, it would prove to be beneficial to others who are in a similar situation. It doesn’t even have to be the struggles associated with mental illness. However, if it’s a circumstance that finds you in the position of being a single parent, you will be okay. Statistics show, you’re not alone. It’s not easy, but the fact that you’re hanging in there and doing the best that you can is extremely important. The love that you have demonstrated towards your kids and the love they have for you will be the greatest reward that you’ll ever need.

About the Author

Brian Eligapos is a single dad who lives in the Dallas, Texas area. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to parents of Greek Nationality, he was brought up on a “family comes first philosophy.” His parents moved to the Northern Virginia area in the early sixties. Approximately forty years later he moved to Texas as a result of business. His two boys got very active in sports, something he took a great interest in. Soon after the move to Texas, his marriage started to suffer. That dynamic brought him to this point in time. This book started out as a non-fiction body of work. However, due to unexpected changes, he had to make it fictional. The names and places had to be changed as a result.
