The Special Two is a beautiful short story that was written to explain and introduce the concept of being a donor-conceived child. It’s a simple but thoughtful explanation outlining the journey of a baby being created through IVF with the help of a generous stranger. This was written with mindfulness and a deep appreciation and connection for the amazing gift of life and is explained with an abundance of love, thought, and passion. Showing a child that they were born into this world uniquely and that they were deeply desired even before conception is so important. This is a story for all children to show how families are created in many ways and to provide an insight into the modern family. It is also a tribute to all the selfless people providing a way for so many precious children to be in this world.
About the Author
Sarah Kissane (born Sept 7, 1977) is a British-born Australian citizen, single mother by choice (SMBC) and business owner. A complete novice in the world of writing, Sarah felt guided by her intuition and passion to openly write what her soul needed to share, and to trust that it was significant enough to keep pursuing. The Special Two originated through personal experience to explain IVF donor conception with love, emotion and depth. To ensure a child from a very young age understands their conception was carefully planned, deeply considered, and that they have a purpose and bring so much meaning. To never doubt that they were wanted and to always know they were meant to be here on this earth.
