“Karen, why don’t you come with me…...and bring your purse.” As I walk behind him down to Human Resources, I am dazed and unsteady. My body is numb, yet my mind is racing. “Huh? Me? No. No. No. Not me. After 25 years? After all I’ve given? Oh no, my kids. I’m a single mom. What am I going to do? No, no, this job, this company, it’s who I am. Please, no.” We all have moments that change our lives. The direction of our lives. We marry who we believe is our soul mate. Happily life changing. We have a baby. Life changing. Then two, or three, or more. Yes, being a parent, fulfilling and life changing. Kids grow up; move out, the quiet, stillness is life changing. The emptiness and loneliness that divorce can bring, scary and life changing. The death of loved one, tragic events, painfully life changing. Our lives are full of twists, turns and events that can change our paths. But there are times, when life changing events, change who we are. The very core of who we are. Without a doubt, that was the moment that changed my life. The date was July 11, 2011, the time, 10:00am. CST. Yes, one more life changing event. I’ve had many. That moment, those cold, cutting, unemotional words, would lead me on a journey that would not only change my life, but ultimately who I was. More importantly, it would lead me to discover the woman I was meant to be, the woman I dreamed I could be, who I desperately wanted to be. The woman I always knew I could be. The woman God had meant me to be. This is my story.

About the Book
Are you Living Your Life or Surviving Your Past? How a message from the other side taught me to live my life instead of just surviving it. Having experienced tragedy and pain as a young child, I knew I felt different. But I always knew I was being protected by angels. I could hear them, feel them, speak to them, and see them at an early age. As I reached my late teens, the betrayal of trust deepened. I shut out my angels, their love, my inner voices and guidance system, and made decisions based solely on pain and fear. My angels never left me, and they continued to send me love and guidance. I chose not to listen, hear, or see what they wanted me to know. After many years, I made the decision to lift the veil of pain and fear. It was a painful process I had to endure. As a result, I began experiencing increased psychic awareness beyond what I could comprehend. The journey has been amazing. Today I am clairvoyant, clairaudient, claircognizant, and clairsentient. I am a medium and a Reiki practitioner. I believe these gifts of intuition are accessible to everyone. Through love and healing, you can be assured a life of joy and complete happiness. It’s time to be the person you were meant to be—the person you know you can be. It’s time to start making your dreams come true and living those dreams. It’s time to stop surviving your past and start living your life.
