Spirit Message Work

One of the most popular ways to work with the public now is message work. This is very similar to the spirit galleries you may have seen on television with John Edward, John Holland, or Sylvia Browne. Message work became known through the spiritualist churches as part of the regular service.

Several mediums each get up in front of the group or congregation and give short bits of information as evidence of spirit existence. Each message is usually three or four sentences long, and includes some information the attendees recognize. This is also known as evidential presentation, platform work, or a message service.

Direct Vibration
While teaching spiritual awareness classes as part of unfoldment, I like to include many exercises for the class to practice. Psychometry is used quite a lot, but I also like using direct vibration work. This is using only the connection of personal vibration or voice vibration.

Before starting in the classes, most students were already receiving information randomly and without limitation. They had received no previous instruction on how to present the information and share it with conviction or control.

To practice direct vibration work, the student stands and is directed to each class member, to present whatever information she receives for them. This is a perfect practice for indoctrinating the student in moving from one person to another, learning to connect and disconnect quickly and properly.

When giving short messages or mini readings, it is important to move from one person to the next without interruption. If a new student normally has let the information flow without direction, there may be a problem disconnecting from one message before starting a new one.

Many of the new students were gifted at receiving impressions and evidence, but had never worked with a mentor or teacher to learn how to present the information. They gave bits and pieces without structure, and did not fully disconnect from one client before moving on to the next one.

As a result, additional information leaked through for the previous client during the following session. The reader felt compelled to go back to the previous client and say what was received for them. This could be considered disrespectful to the current client. 

These inexperienced readers were not in control of the situation, the flow of content, or their presentation. This is why I help them learn the skills of connecting and disconnecting.

Always engage the client at the beginning of the session. Ask permission, or ask for the name of the person with whom you wish to work. When a person says their name, their vibration and aura opens, allowing you to work with the vibration. Then it is obvious to all that you are not intruding.

To completely close the vibration with a client, you must be firm. Be conscious of your intent and focused the entire time. Be completely in charge. As you complete the message, look directly at the client, and say “Bless you …Thank you …I leave that with you… (Or)…I’m leaving your vibration.” You are instructing your guides that you will now move on. Then move your body away from that client and toward the next one.

This technique puts two aspects of your mind to work: you must be open to the intuitive portion of your mind, but also stay conscious of what you are doing. To work with subtle energies and the spirit realm, you must always be open, but totally in charge, as well.
